What this page is for
Calculate working days between two dates for deadlines, payroll ranges, project planning, and country-specific business calendars.
How the calculation works
DayBridge treats Saturdays and Sundays as weekends by default, then removes national public holidays for the selected country. Regional calendars and company-specific holidays may require a local source check.
Common use cases
- Planning deadlines across countries and business calendars.
- Checking lead times for support, logistics, operations, and project work.
- Creating long-tail pages that answer specific search intent with a real tool.
Frequently asked questions
What is a business day?
A business day is usually a weekday when normal work or financial operations take place. Weekends and public holidays are typically excluded, but the exact rule depends on the country, company, contract, or workflow.
Are public holidays excluded from the result?
DayBridge excludes the national public holidays available for the selected country. For legal, payroll, tax, shipping, or contractual deadlines, always verify the official holiday calendar and regional rules.
Can I use this calculator for legal or payroll deadlines?
Use it for planning and checking scenarios only. Final legal, payroll, tax, compliance, and contract deadlines should be confirmed with the responsible professional source or official calendar.
Use this as a business day calendar calculator
A business day calculator answers a different question than a simple day counter. Calendar days count every date. Business days usually exclude weekends, and many deadline workflows also exclude public holidays. Use the country selector above when the answer depends on a national calendar.
Business days vs calendar days
If a deadline says 20 calendar days, count every day on the calendar. If it says 20 business days, move through working days only and skip weekends. If it says working days, bank days, trading days, or office days, confirm the exact rule before using the result for legal, payroll, tax, or contract decisions.
Business days to days
There is no fixed conversion from business days to calendar days. Five business days is often seven calendar days when a normal weekend falls inside the window. Thirty business days can become about six calendar weeks, but public holidays and country rules can move the target date.
Country business days and common spellings
Searches for UK business days, Canada working days, business days in China, and German holidays need country-specific calendars. If you searched for "buisness days", use the standard spelling "business days" and choose the country that controls the deadline.
